The predicted mobility of full-length SEL-1 is 88 kDa. However, this antibody detects a strong immunoreactive species of ~105 kDa in murine pancreas and heart tissue lysates. The reason for this discrepancy in mobility on SDS-PAGE is most likely due to the 5 predicted glycosylation sites in the SEL-1 protein: UniProtKB/Swiss-Prot Q9Z2G6 (SE1L1_MOUSE).
