Additional Notes
I would like to characterize the non neuronal elements of my culture. To differentiate satellite from other cells I need a monoclonal antibody. Unfortunately the ab 64613 to gluthamine synthetase did not work. I have tried different concentration from 1 ug/m to 10 ug/ml. I will send some pictures in the next days. Thank you for your support.
We also tried to characterize bovine astrocyte cells from primary cultures, and we used the ab64613 together with GFAP in order to identify the astrocytic cells. We could not get a signal with this antibody, although we tried different fixation methods (methanol, aceton/methanol, PFA).
Abcam response
Thank you for participating in our AbTrial testing program for untested species or applications. Based on this feedback it appears that ab64613 may not be suitable for Bos taurus reactivity.
