Thank you for your review. Cathepsin E has been detected in cancerous pancreas tissue according to the literature, but levels in normal pancreas are typically lower. For a positive control for ab36996, we recommend mouse reticulocyte lysate. Cathepsin E is expressed abundantly in the stomach, Clara cells and alveolar macrophages of the lung, brain microglia, spleen, and activated B lymphocytes. These may also be useful controls.
